22 AprBlind Dates – Meeting a Stranger

Blind dates are probably the most dreaded meetings any of us will have to deal with. Even for those who are outgoing, a blind date is enough to paralyze any of us. With a few simple tips the meeting can be much more comfortable and less unnerving.
Proper Planning
If you plan wisely you’ll be able to make the most of a blind date. Try to talk to the person you are meeting before hand, even if it’s only through email or on the phone. This will get a lot of the tension out of the way since you’ll feel as though you already somewhat know them. The date itself should be casual, don’t plan anything over the top or expensive until you know for sure the chemistry is there.
Be Yourself
Trying to impress your date is one thing, but pretending to be someone you’re not is another entirely. If you’re typically funny, let it shine. If you say what you think your date wants to hear, they will be in for a rude awakening later when you start to let your true self show.
Be Realistic
Blind dates can work out as often as they don’t. Don’t go in to the date expecting to meet your soul mate, if you are just after sex with a stranger then save yourself a lot of time and arrange a meet with someone on a swingers site. But also go in open minded. While blind dates are dreaded, you may meet your future husband or wife on one. So be open, and don’t set yourself up with a lot of preconceived notions.
